Big Muddy Filmfest to pass ‘Driving Lessons’

Iranian short film ‘Driving Lessons’ is to attend Big Muddy Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short film ‘Driving Lessons’ has been set to attend the Big Muddy Film Festival in the US.

Marzieh Rihahi’s award-winning short is one of the 66 contenders which will be in competition at the 42nd edition of the American film event.

The 13-minute short is about a young woman named Bahareh who must have her traditional controlling husband accompany her on driving lessons so she and her male instructor would not be alone. 

Linda Kiani, star in ifilm series ‘Warm Breath’ and ‘Until Being with Sorayya’, portrays the lead character of the flick.

The film has already attended and won awards at various international events including, the jury’s special award at the Film Festival for Women’s Rights in South Korea, the best short drama award at the “I Will Tell” international film festival in the UK and the best film award at the Religion Today Film Festival in Italy.

‘Driving Lessons’ is currently attending the 27th edition of the Houston Film Festival in the US. It will also soon be in competition at the 12th edition of the Elles Tournent Festival in Brussels.

The Big Muddy Film Festival holds in celebration of innovative works of new and established artists.

The latest edition of the event is slated for February 24- March 01, 2020.
